Transcript of message from TV Broadcast 476 -- taken from Closed Captioning Text -- Brother Keith Greene: We had a wonderful men's meeting today. We got to hear some letters of people that are in distress and how the video and radio ministry has touched their lives and is meeting their daily needs. We take for granted so much that we have and often sometimes we're probably hard to some of the things that come forth and we just don't really realize. But these people are in need and God's changing their lives through this ministry. Pray for the men and the women that are involved in writing letters, responding on the Internet. Pray for them. Help them if you have something you can do. Ask them, they'll be glad to tell you if you can help them. Okay, over in verse 1, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David." You know we sang the song "Come and Dine." The Lord wants us to come to Him. And the covenant He makes He doesn't take away. He doesn't let go of you. You can trust Him. He won't fail you. I'll fail you, you'll fail me but He won't fail. Your parents will fail you, you'll fail your parents, but Jesus Christ will not fail you. He won't walk away from you. He'll be there. He's near us. All we have to do is call on Him and He's calling on you tonight to come to Him. -- Brother Harold Hutto: If you're here and you've got a need He wants you to come down here. Don't be ashamed to let go and let Him have His way. So many things that I see the Lord doing. He's already proven Himself to me so much in the last six or eight weeks. Folks, there's things in us we can't get right. We can't do it. That's why we need a Savior. There's one scripture that's been with me this week. It's Hebrews 4 and it's a very familiar scripture but I believe you might can identify with this. I'll start with verse 14, "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." That gives me hope tonight. That gives me hope and lets me know that He's still on the throne. And tonight, I don't know what your need is. You know, it don't matter. But God knows and that's something I'm finding out is when I get in trouble is when I try to figure out people's problems, when we try to go beyond. But I'll tell you what the best thing to do is. We don't need to know the answer. We just need to know the one that holds the answer. Tonight He holds all the answers, everything you need tonight. He's started the work in you. He's gonna complete it. -- Brother Jim Johnson: I had a scripture or a phrase come to me very strongly. I don't know when it came, last night or the night before, but it keeps on coming back to me. It seems like it would be appropriate to mention it. It's in Exodus, and it's in the third chapter. One of the factors that prodded me...you know sometimes we're scared to just be frankly honest with you. We don't want to miss the Lord. We don't want to come here just to flap our lips and you know, just go through a form of some kind. We want God to get in what we're saying because God's the only one that can help us. God's the only one that can help you. So sometimes you really hesitate. You know you're limited but I'll tell you what, our Lord's not limited. He is so faithful. He can speak through anybody, can't He? And the phrase that came to me was in the first part of verse eight, "And I am come down to deliver them." It speaks of an instance where Moses met the Lord in a burning bush and in verse seven there it says, "And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt,"--we're in Egypt and don't know it, "and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters." We all think this is, or have been deceived into believing this is a free nation and everybody's free. Boy, there's so much bondage in this country it's just unimaginable. If you really get your eyes open we are subjected to any and all kinds of bondages. And they enslave, for the majority, this nation. And even we are caught up in it. And it says, "for I know their sorrows." You see, when we are captured we're sorry. I mean we're not happy. We're not free and we want out. We'll lift our hearts and say God help me and God hears that cry. And it has gone forth and He wants you to know that, "I am come down to deliver them." "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near." You know in this particular case, you know it's not that God is afar off or ever has been. But there's a special time sometimes when He especially draws nigh unto His people. And I believe that this is the hour when He wants to specially draw nigh to His people. He wants to set them free. He wants to set you free and He wants to set me free--freer than we've ever been before. And it's available to us and I believe God's moving in our midst to set us free. And I thank God. I'll tell you what, it's wonderful to be free. You know it when you're free. You know when you're in union with the Lord and the liberty that's there. My gosh, well you're just caught up in another dimension. Just to frankly honest, you're not even in this world. And all the problems that flood our minds all day long, all through the week, they evaporate because we're in the presence of the almighty God. And I'll tell you what, the Lord wants us to stay in His presence. He wants us to know that He is near. He is come down and He's present to help us and to deliver us. And don't question--don't doubt God. I don't care what your problem is, you can be delivered. You will be delivered and I believe He's here tonight to deliver. Regardless of what your ailment is, God knows about it. He sees it and He's able to meet your need. I thank Him for His presence. I thank Him for this meeting. It's been a tremendous blessing to me. I know it's been a blessing to many people. And I thank God for it. Thank God for my family. I think I see, well I don't think I see, I see Christ and I praise God for it. The Lord's down. He's come down. Open up your heart. Say, "Lord, here I am. Set me free." He'll do it. -- Brother Tim Stepp: The thought came to me to give up that what you can't keep for something that you can't lose. Is that a win-win situation tonight? I was lying in bed the other morning thinking about the mercy of God. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't need an alarm clock; at 5:45 I wake up. And probably most of us are the same way. And I was just thinking of the mercy of the Lord, how He looked past my problems and He saw my need. He deals with us as children and I was looking at Isaiah chapter one. You know the Word of God, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him." "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." The word comes into our minds and this is what I was thinking. We hear the Word. It changes our heart. It gives us a new heart. We heard that the other night. And I was just thinking here in verse 18, and this is what I think the Lord is compelling us tonight. We've heard all week He's reaching out into the hedges and highways and compelling them to come, to come and dine. This is how big, this is how awesome our God is. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord." This is God speaking to me and you. He wants to have that one on one relationship with us. "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat of the good of the land." That's what God's doing for us folks. He's compelling us to come unto Him. I believe this...I had a thought while Jim was speaking. When the heart turns to the Lord the veil is lifted. That's what He's doing for you tonight. If He's compelling you, He's tugging at your heart, give it up. Give it up. Throw down your arms of rebellion and just come on in and dine tonight. Praise God! ( congregational praise ). -- Brother Steve Sharpe: Praise the Lord. I had the same scripture that Keith had here tonight. And I was thinking about that first verse there in chapter 55. The invitation was for those who were thirsty to come. Are you thirsty tonight? is the question. The scripture in Matthew says, "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness." You know, if you're here tonight, you're probably here because you feel like you need something. I believe we all could say that we're hungry and thirsty tonight. I thank God for that conviction. God has to do that for us. You know, the enemy will take that conviction and he'll try to pervert it. He'll make you think, well I've done to much. I've gone too far or now's not the time. But I got news for you, God is here tonight to deliver you. ( congregational amens ). You know, He's got something for that thirst that's not a temporary fix. When He met that woman at the well He asked her to get Him water. Well, let's turn over there if you will. John chapter four, I believe that is. First of all, I think it's significant that in this chapter it said that He had a need to go by Samaria. He was purposed. It's a purpose for you to be here tonight and it's a purpose for Him to be here tonight. There's a need. And He went there and we know the story. "There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink." That's in verse seven. "(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans." I think that's a type of where we feel like we don't deserve the Lord. But you know, we deserve a Savior because we need a Savior--because we can't do it ourselves. "Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water." That same Christ is here tonight to give those of us who thirst this living water. I'm telling you, when you get this, you don't need anything else. "The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?" You know, we might think, well, I've done too much. Can this Savior save me? I can tell that one drop of His blood can pay for every sin that you've ever committed, every one that you ever will commit. He's taken care of them all--all of yours, all of mine, and all of this world's. We just got to believe that. We got to believe that He cares enough to want to give us this living water. "Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again." It doesn't mean that you won't have a need, but they'll be something there to meet that need. You know, Milton talked about the trials. He said, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous." But you know, when God gives you this living water, there's something there to sustain you. And when the trial and the devil comes to try to beat you down, there will be something instantaneous to supply the need that you have. And I believe the Lord is here tonight. I had the same the same scripture there, I read over there, that Harold had. "Call upon him while he is near." You know, there's a time, there's a prove time. If God is showing you your need, first of all you're blessed to see your need. And if you're in this place while He is near and He's calling, don't let that pass you by. It's like Tim said, what is it that you're giving up? You're giving up nothing for everything. You know, it was said several times during this meeting that there's a treasure. This treasure is in this natural field. If God is showing you His love in His people then you need to go like the scripture says and sell it all and come and buy this field because this great treasure's here. You know, I said it the other night when I was up here, I know of those that are hungry and those that have come to this meeting expecting and believing that God's going to do something for them. Well, I'm going to claim it with you. I'm going to claim deliverance in your life. I'm going to claim salvation for you because I believe today is the day of salvation. Don't harden your hearts tonight. Yield to what the Holy Spirit is doing. -- Brother Paul Campbell: Praise God! The Lord's here tonight. We sit over there in the room but the Lord, He's able to get through those doors. ( congregational amens ). You know, what I sense here tonight is summed up in this scripture right here. When Jesus went to the temple He took the book to stand up and read and He says, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor." Are you poor tonight? I know the man that's got all the riches in the world and He's real to me. And He says he hath sent me "to preach the gospel to the poor to heal the brokenhearted." Do you have a broken heart tonight? "...to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." Are you bruised? "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." I believe that's what God's been doing here in our midst. "All things are now ready." "Come unto me, all ye labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." God's here tonight in our midst and He's wooing. ( congregational amens ). I believe we can say tonight that as He said down here as He sat down, "Today is this scripture fulfilled in your ears." Jesus Christ is here and He can meet your need. I don't know if it's in order but if we give an alter call, that song that Tim sings, "Where do the brokenhearted go to find a comfort for your pain? So many hurting need to know the hope there is in Jesus name." That's all we need is Jesus Christ. ( congregational praise ). -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: If you don't sense the Lord in that you're brain dead. The Lord is here. That scripture in Isaiah I'll quote again, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near." He's here right now. The Lord is here right now. Tim, come on up and let's sing that song, "Where the Brokenhearted Go?" I just want us to be praying, seeking God. There are people here tonight, they're in the balances, teetering one way or the other. One scripture says, "Multitudes in the valley of decision." I don't believe there are multitudes. There was at one time but I think most people have made up their mind. But you've got a chance tonight. You have an opportunity. You have an opportunity to turn it all over as Brother Harold said, to the Lord. Where you gonna turn? Where you gonna go? There's no place but the Lord. WHERE DO THE BROKEN-HEARTED GO I TRIED TO MAKE IT ON MY OWN. I HAVE JOY IN THE TIME OF SORROW. I'LL CARRY ON TILL JESUS COMES, I HAVE JOY IN THE TIME OF SORROW. HE SAID HE'D NEVER LEAVE ME, I HAVE JOY IN THE TIME OF SORROW. -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: Folks, don't quit praying. I believe that there's more here tonight that need to come. These are coming, turning their lives over to the Lord. How could you leave this place without surrendering to God? I'll tell you, He's irresistible. He loves you. What have you got to fear? My God, the devil hates you. He's the one that tried to destroy you. Why don't you turn it over to the Lord? And this young man that came up here, Is his name Victor? Victor, where are you? God bless you, son. I appreciate you coming forward. Do you really mean it? Amen! Well, praise God for what you've done. The Lord is with you. Listen, this may be--this may be, I don't know, your last opportunity. I don't know. I'm not going to say it is but it may be. I implore you in God's stead to come and turn it over to the Lord. It's a serious thing. Praise the Lord. COME UNTO JESUS. WELL I KNOW THERE ARE THINGS IN YOUR LIFE, COME UNTO JESUS. |
