Transcript of message from TV Broadcast 475 -- taken from Closed Captioning Text -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: I sense in my spirit there's an unusual flowing and worship going forth tonight, connecting with the Lord. God's people are becoming more and more free and yielding their vessels. That's what we need to do more of, beloved. I appreciate the song service. But also, I sense in my spirit that the Lord is still wooing. I sense the Lord like on the bank of one of the bodies of water in that land over there where He was. I sense Him with His hands out just like this, with His scars just entreating, inviting. That's what I sense. Last night was a tremendous Word of God. "Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden." Brother Thomas sensed that in his spirit. I sense it tonight even more. I sense that there's a longing, a burden, not only on our hearts, but on the Lord's heart. You know, the Lord longs for His children to come home. The wayward son, the wayward daughter...they're out, they're AWOL. They're living in the world. They're lost and undone. But the Lord longs for that child--the ones that are His, to come home and to sit on His lap and Him to hold them and nurture them and bring them back to Himself. The Lord spoke, when He stood up for to read. He said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor," to those that really need the Lord, and that's all of us. To open the blind eyes, to heal the broken-hearted, to set the captives free and, "to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Beloved, don't put your feet in the ground. This may be--this may be the last opportunity you have. You know, you're not here by accident...every one of you. You say, well I belong to be here. I'm a son or a daughter...I'm an aunt or an uncle, or I was invited. It doesn't make any difference about any of that. God brought you here and you're here for a reason. Listen up, and open up your ears and open up your heart, because I believe that the Lord is going to speak to you tonight in a most unusual way. -- Brother Keith Green: We had a wonderful men's meeting today. We got to hear some letters of people that are in distress and how the video and radio ministry has touched their lives and is meeting their daily needs. We take for granted so much that we have. And often, sometimes we're probably hard to some of the things that come forth and we just don't really realize. But these people are in need and God's changing their lives through this ministry. So, pray for the men and the women that are involved in writing letters, responding on the internet, pray for them. Help them, if you have something you can do. Ask them. They'll be glad to tell you if you can help them. Over in verse one, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David." You know, we sang the song, "Come and Dine." The Lord wants us to come to Him and the covenant He makes, He doesn't take away. He doesn't let go of you. You can trust Him. He won't fail you. I'll fail you. You'll fail me, but He won't fail. ( congregational amens ). Your parent's will fail you. You'll fail your parents. But, Jesus Christ will not fail you. He won't walk away from you. He'll be there. He's near us. All we have to do is call on Him. He's calling on you tonight to come to Him. -- Harold Hutto: I think all of us can probably testify that the Lord is...He's moving in all our hearts. If the truth is known, there's rooms that we haven't opened yet. I said it today at the meeting, God's allowing me to be here this particular time to do a deeper work. But we have to yield ourselves. I was thinking on down there when he was reading that scripture a while ago, in Psalms--let me turn there. I seen this. Like Brother Thomas said one time, I'm not a real good scriptorian or whatever you want to call it, but we'll do the best we can. Isaiah 55. -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: I'm glad you're reading that. I was praying that Keith would read on down. -- Brother Harold Hutto: Amen. -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: Isaiah 55:7. -- Brother Harold Hutto: Okay. Praise the Lord. Isaiah 55:7. Okay...six...it says, "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near." That's my thought. Today, the Lord is near. ( congregational amens ). I don't know anything like I should, but I sense in my spirit, that God has brought some people here today. In particular, I just remember when I first come. I was needy. I'm still needy, that's why I'm still coming. But I was so proud. I didn't want nobody to know it--all the things that was wrong with me. I was ashamed. But the Lord done something. I sit in the back, you know, because I didn't...there's something about that. We want to hide. I sit in the back. But I want to tell you what the Lord wants you to do tonight. If you're here and you've got a need, He wants you to come down here. Don't be ashamed to let go and let Him have His way. So many things that I see the Lord doing--He's already proven Himself to me so much in the last six or eight weeks. Folks, there's things in us that we can't get right. We can't do it. That's why we need a Savior. ( congregational amens ). But there's one scripture that's been with me this week. It's Hebrews 4. It's a very familiar scripture. But I believe that you might can identify with this. And I'll start with verse 14. It says, "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." That gives me hope tonight. That gives me hope and lets me know that He's still on the throne. And tonight, I don't know what your need is. You know, it don't matter, but God knows. That's something I'm finding out. When I get in trouble when I try to figure out people's problems, when we try to go beyond, but I'm gonna tell you what. The best thing we can do is...we don't need to know the answer. We just need to know the One that holds the answer. ( congregational amens ). And tonight He holds all the answers--everything we need tonight. He started the work in you. He's gonna complete it. That gives me a rest. That gives me just a rest and peace to know that. That's something I told Jimmy. I can't remember what Brother John said. -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: It's far better where I'm going, than where I've been. -- Brother Harold Hutto: Amen, Amen. We can count on that tonight. I was thinking. Whatever you need...you know most of the time we get so mixed up in the world, we get so tangled up in our problems and our trials that we lose sight of the Lord. Tonight you can...that's something else. I've come in here this week...you know, you don't see it, but we come, we smile, and we put on these fronts. But, I had a heavy load. I couldn't carry it. I was just so weighted down. We don't see it. But I said, God, Your shoulders are bigger than mine. I'm giving this thing to you. ( congregational amens ). If it's a wife, if it's a girlfriend, if it's...whatever it is-whatever your need is tonight, you can come boldly before His throne and give it to Him. He can carry it. Amen? ( congregational amens ). I appreciate the Lord tonight. There's been so much said. I'm going back home and, hey, the best I know how, I'm gonna seek Him a little more. Whether I do that or not, He's still gonna be with me. But, I've got a desire to please Him. Haven't you? -- Brother Jim Johnson: I had a scripture or a phrase come to me very strongly. I don't know when it came--last night or night before. But it keeps on coming back to me. It seems like that it would probably be appropriate to mention it. It's in Exodus and it's in the third chapter. One of the factors that prodded me...you know some times we have to have...we're scared, I'll just be frankly honest with you. We don't want to miss the Lord. We don't want to come up here and just flap our lips and just go through a form of some kind. We want God to get in what we're saying, because God's the only one that can help us. God's the only one to help you. So sometimes you really hesitate. You know you're limited. But I'll tell you what. Our Lord's not limited. He is so faithful. He can speak through anybody, can't He? The phrase that came to me was in the first part of verse eight. "I am come down to deliver them." ( congregational amens ). It speaks...the Lord...you know this is where Moses met the Lord in the burning bush. In verse seven there it says, "And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt." We're in Egypt and don't know it. "And have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters." We all think this is, or have been deceived into believing that this is a free nation and everybody's free. Boy, there's so much bondage in this country. It's just unimaginable. If you really get your eyes open, we are subjected to any and all kinds of bondages. And they enslave, for the majority of this nation. And even us, even we are caught up in it. And it says, "For I know their sorrows." You see when we are captured, we're sorry. I mean we're not happy. We're not free. And we want out, and we'll lift our hearts and say, God help me. And God hears that cry. And it has gone forth. And He wants you to know. |
