Transcript of message from TV Broadcast 471 -- taken from Closed Captioning Text

-- Brother Jimmy Robbins: I want you to really look to God tonight in this service and this week and ask God to help you. Don't you miss a service. The devil will say, well I ain't going back down there. You resist that. That's from the devil. You need to be here every night. You need to push everything out of the way. The Lord has something for you. He loves you. He knows your name. He knows who you are. He knows where you live.

We have people here from all over the country. I know we've had some families to move here recently. I say recently, maybe a year or so ago. The Woods family from Atlanta moved down. We're so glad to have them. The Burruss family from Kansas moved here. They were listening to Brother Thomas preach on a little station out in Kansas. They just tuned right in and just listened. And something about it was different. It wasn't man's doctrine--wasn't tradition. It was words of Life. Jesus says, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

When those words come and your soul is thirsty, it's water on dry ground. That's what God's going to give you this week--water on dry ground. They heard that ministry. They said we've got to go see--we've got to go see. And they did. God made them one with the church and we're so glad they're here.

We had heard from a lady out in Texas. I can't remember the town. She can share that with us. But Sister Sharon Brown came all the way from Texas to be here in this meeting. She has a beautiful Christian spirit about her. I just believe that all Christians--we fellowship around Christ. That's the common denominator. It's Christ. I thank God for the love that comes through in her conversation on the phone. I can't remember all that she told me on the phone, but I know that she said something...I talk to so many people. I trust my memory is correct. I don't know if you said this or not, but you correct me if you didn't. I think you said something that...you'd just never seen a church where they took care of business and they dealt with sin, and then they told them, "Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear." We love God's people and you know, the Lord, He chastens those whom He what?

-- Congregation: Loves.

-- Brother Jimmy Robbins: "And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." And, "If ye be without chastisement...then are ye bastards, and not sons." You know, this sweeping the stuff under the rug and just putting a little talcum powder on it and say it's alright for that brother over there to live on the bottle. It's all right for this one over here to just kind of sleep around. No, it's not all right. Let judgment first "begin at the house of God." I'll tell you something. God is cleaning up His church. He is. He's coming back for one without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. Well, Sister Sharon, Brother Thomas doesn't, as my mama would say, cull anybody. If his wife got out of order, he'd say, Kathleen...or his son or daughter. He's done it publicly. He just tells it like it is. Sharon would you come up and just share you heart. Just feel free, and just whatever the Lord gives you. Sharon Brown from Texas...what town are you from?

-- Sister Sharon Brown: Rockdale.

-- Brother Jimmy Robbins: Rockdale.

-- Sister Sharon Brown: Praise the Lord! I'm giving honor to the Spirit of Christ tonight and thanking God truly for being here. I wasn't expecting to come up and speak.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

-- Sister Sharon Brown: But nonetheless thank the Lord anyway. I have many things to say, but I'm kind of choked up with words right now. I just thank God so for being here. It's like the brother was saying. There's so much love that's conveyed from this congregation. I, myself, was at home when I heard the Word of God coming through Brother Parker. I was first introduced to the Truth by Brother Jackson back there. I'd never heard the Truth taught, and Brother Jackson was so young...well he's still young, praise God.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

-- Sister Sharon Brown: But I first heard the Truth--I mean the unadulterated truth being spoken through him. He had a ministry going for a while, but when people's hearts are not in the right place, they tend to scatter. So, Brother Jackson was up in Texas and began to start a ministry there, but the Lord led him back here. So, I said, what am I going to do about hearing the Truth?

When I moved to Rockdale from Austin, I was sitting there and I was cooking and I had the radio on. And Brother Thomas came on and I just stopped everything and I sat there for those 15 minutes. And I said, thank God. This is the Truth. I was so caught up in hearing him, until when the address was given, it simply bypassed me. I was sitting there and I said...I don't recall...the only thing I recalled was Southern Pines, North Carolina. That just stayed with me. Every day I looked forward to tuning in to Brother Thomas. Praise God! When I heard it the second time, I had my pen and paper sitting right there.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

I had my pen and paper ready. I said, as they speak, I'm going to be writing this down because I want to start having that Midnight Cry Messenger sent to my home. After I had gotten the address, I sent off by letter to start having the Midnight Cry Messenger sent. When I received my first copies, included was the video tape "Where's Your Heart?" I sat there. I had just moved there so I was kind of starting over with everything. So I rushed in and I purchased the VCR, so I could hurry up and listen to that.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

After I heard it and after I looked--I looked at Brother Thomas as he was speaking and I was hearing what he was speaking. He was speaking--the way he was speaking--he was speaking the raw truth. I'm concerned about your soul no matter what. This is what came out of that message. I looked at it again, and again, and again. I started looking at the congregation because you know the scripture says, "No marvel; for Satan himself is transformed." So you have to let the Spirit bear witness that what you're hearing is truly of God, no matter what the appearance is.

I started looking at the congregation again, and like the brother said, you could just...and you know it's the Spirit of God showing you that these are my people. Praise God! These are my people. I looked at the discipline even of the children, which is a rare thing, because now people feel like the kids are taught one thing and you are taught another. Or you've got to teach them some temporary foolishness in order for them to receive Christ and that's just not so--it's just not so.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

And so I said, I have got to be a part of that body. You know it just overwhelms you sometimes to think how God brings His people together in His perfect timing. When I was living here, I never heard of the Midnight Cry Messenger--never heard of it. It wasn't until 1997 when I heard Brother Thomas over the airways. Finally, after I started--once I got the address, I said there's got to be a number so I can speak with someone physically. After I began to order the tapes and videos, and I think I ordered all the books except maybe about one or two.

I looked in I believe it was "Lying Signs and Wonders" that I looked, it was either the front or the back page where there was the 1-800 number listed. When I called...cause I'd even called Information and they said they didn't have anything listed for Midnight Cry Ministries. And so I said, well there has to be a number where I can reach someone physically. So I did, and I spoke with Sister Shirley. Bless her precious heart. I love her to pieces--I love her to pieces--I love her to pieces.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

She and I...you know when I first spoke with Sister...well I first spoke with Brother Robbins first, actually. Brother Robbins said, he was letting me know we don't have no foolishness here, because he said now we don't cater to the flesh.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

You know I started to say, Brother Robbins, do you think I'm coming all the way from Texas on vacation to be told foolishness. I don't think so!

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

After that, then I started talking to Sister Shirley about attending this convention. She and I were speaking and we were talking and I was talking to her about the video where I seen Sister Priscilla and the other brother and how it was about flee fornication. That was the tape. I said God, thank you. The way that they deal with sin and the way that the brother and the sister entreated the rebuke was such a blessing. Because now, people say that they want the truth, but they get mad when you tell them, but those are people that are not right.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

Those are people that don't intend to live right, they just...I guess they want to feel like they're okay in whatever they do. But this is...you know the Bible say first judgment must begin at His house and then it spreads abroad. The way that Brother Robbins...because we have to have sin dealt with in order to bring shame about. Because if you're never ashamed of what you're doing, then you'll never seek deliverance. And then conviction won't come in like it's supposed to because there's a blockage there.

And so I said, if you want to play and if you want foolishness, it's out there a dime a dozen. But the Truth is a very rare thing now. You've got to pray to God to send you to His true people for true worship. I said, God, thank You. That's all I have to say right now. I'm looking forward to and by faith I will be fellowshipping with you quite often. I know God's going to do that. Praise God. But right now, I'm going to end it there. I just thank God for being here. I thank God for all of you. I loved you before I met you, by the Spirit of God.

( congregational amens ).

-- Brother Tim Stepp: I was sitting over there and the thought just came to me, what a blessed people we are! How we take for granted what we have. "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because," of what?

-- Congregation: "We love the brethren."

-- Brother Tim Stepp: Love of the brethren. I want to mention Judy. I don't know if all of you know Judy Hunt's been struggling. God's on the throne. She's been ill, but I believe God is even tonight, even this week, we can stand in her stead, and lift her up, and believe that God can heal her and help her.

( congregational amens ).

I have things that afflict me in the job that I have. I worked till 11:30 last night trying to get all this stuff done so I could get here. Then today, I had it all done. It was about 8:30 or 9:00 and I said I'm going to get out of here. I got a call from the district office and they said all your data is incorrect.

( laughter ).

I said, you sent me the data that I sent to the State Department. They said, it doesn't matter.

( laughter ).

Your data is incorrect. So, praise the Lord, I went back and what took me about eight hours, I got done in two. So, I praise the Lord. God's good, isn't He? I'm thankful that He does look past my faults and He sees my needs. He sets me free. God is doing something, folks. Steve one time said he now knows why some creatures eat their young.

( laughter ).

He and I both have three teenagers.

( laughter ).

I love them.

( laughing ).

( laughter ).

We actually had a nice trip. I do want to thank the Georgia Department of Transportation. They are getting better. They actually had a little better road things today. More than anything we actually had...of course, we pray when we get in the car and we go down the road and you know how that goes. Oh Lord, help us Jesus. God, get us there in one piece. Amen.

( laughter ).

But it was really--it was the Lord. I'll sit down in a minute. My three kids are crawling up underneath the pew. It was the Lord. We were able to talk about the Lord. I think God is doing something for my kids right now. I think He's doing something for all of our young people, because there is a standard being lifted. It's a standard for deliverance. I need deliverance tonight in my own life and I appreciate the Lord.

It's almost like Johnny. You know, being a school principal...Johnny--he's always into something. Well Johnny went to Vacation Bible School over the summer and he got saved. Praise God! He got washed in the Blood, the Lord just...miraculous deliverance for him. He came back and he was full of the Holy Ghost and he just wanted to share Christ with everybody. Johnny was...the teacher was talking about different things and he'd say, oh hold on a second sister, you can take that Darwin stuff and throw it away. He was driving the Science teacher absolutely nuts. Everything that she used, he had a biblical story to back it up. I told this to them in Columbia.

She was talking about mammals one time...said it's the largest creature on the earth. Johnny said, oh yeah, Jonah. Let me tell you the story about Jonah. She said, look, Johnny, I've heard enough of your Bible stories. He said, no let me tell you about Jonah. He started talking and she said, look, he couldn't have been swallowed by a whale. The esophagus, esophagus... say that three times...is too small to swallow a man. He said, no, no, no. The Word of God says that he was swallowed by a whale. She said, look, how many times have I got to tell you? It didn't happen. He said, well, I'll tell you what. When I get to heaven, I'm going to ask Jonah and he'll verify it. The teacher said, well what if Jonah didn't make it to heaven? What if he's in hell? He looked at her and said, then you ask him.

( laughter ).

Johnny's been delivered. I'm being delivered.
