Transcript of message from TV Broadcast 469 -- taken from Closed Captioning Text -- Brother Thomas: "Obey them that have," this is Hebrews 13 verse 17. "Obey them that have the rule over you." Does anybody have the rule over you? Do you respect, do you honor somebody that has the rule over you, spiritually speaking? Do you? "...And submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls," and bring you this message. I'm bringing it because I watch for you souls. Some of you wouldn't be in the trouble you're in now had you listened, had you respected. I'm not in this business cause I want to do it, I'm not in it because of the money, I'm not in it because it gives me glamour or any kind of prestige or anything else. I'm in it because God Almighty called me. God called me and He put me in it. And He put me in it for a purpose and you're that purpose! Here's why you need to respect them--"for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." I'm gonna have to give an account. When I tell you something you don't like, just don't jump too quick. It might be right. Maybe your pride don't like it. None of us like--our pride likes to do things. It might be better for you. You might be obeying that scripture. And that urge to leave home--you're asking for trouble. Priscilla, I observed you this morning over there. I saw you worshipping the Lord. Seemed like it's a difference. I was thankful in my heart. ( congregational amens ). You worship the Lord, honey. You give Him your heart--worship Him when you get here. Don't have that devil telling you you need to get away. I'll guarantee you, if you'll go against the counsel to do what the devil wants you to do--and that's what it is, you're not gonna profit. You'll absolutely turn your back on the kingdom of God and God in His people. You don't mean to do that, cause you don't realize what's trying to influence you that way. You don't understand it, but I do. That's why I'm telling the truth. That young girl when she leaves home, she didn't intend to become a streetwalker. She didn't intend to become afflicted with some loathsome disease, maybe to die in some cheap hotel room with AIDS. They got all kind of diseases now. They have what they call a super gonorrhea. That's a sexually transmitted disease. Look at AIDS. You think these things just accidentally happen? The medical world, that's the way they look at it. Let's get a cure. They don't know God. It's the judgment of God! "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." That's to mankind in general. You gonna reap what you sow. Don't get mad with nobody. Pray for them. You'll get deliverance quicker. Just realize this, it's the goodness of God that you're here. You're not here because you deserve it. You're here because you are an incurable sinner. You need the grace of God and you have access to it. ( congregational praise ). Oh, I would save all of you if I could, but I can't. But I can sure tell you the truth. Now that poor woman dying in that cheap hotel room with some loathsome disease, she started out young, full of laughter, full of life, vigor. And she left home. She got with the wrong crowd. And it's one step at a time--it's downward, downward. She never would have dreamed she would have come to what she came to, but "the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Now beloved, you know as well as I do that sex above all things that I know of is exploited by the movies and magazines. I'm not talking about these old pornographic magazines. I'm talking about regular magazines. You don't see them out there in Hollywood getting some old ugly woman, do you, to play with Tyrone Power or somebody like that? -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: How many years ago was he around? ( laughter ). -- Brother Thomas: Well that's more my time. ( laughing ). ( laughter ). Well I tell you one thing, you know why they do these things? They want the most appealing and beautiful one, and that kind of an image, to turn you on. Well beloved, let's realize these things. Think about them. I'm trying to help God's people. I'm trying to help some of our kids. I saw five little girls sitting there this morning and I said, Lord, if we can get something in them now we can save their life. And some of you'll go to an early grave. I'm not telling you something now that I have fabricated or something I read about. I can name numerous ones, and these--most of them are younger than me. They've been in their grave now for many years. But God saved me. God's keeping me alive. God blesses me. I give Him the glory, the praise, the honor. ( congregational praise ). Hallelujah! I was thinking about a first cousin of mine. As little boys we loved each other. We played together. We run the woods together. Had the best time. But he went one path and I took another. He didn't live to be 50 years old. I'm still ticking away. I'm like that old watch. I may take a lickin' but I keep on tickin'. ( laughter ). Before he died, I could say he was a whoremonger. Drinking, got to taking dope--that's a short route to hell. Want a short road to hell? That's the road you take. I can think of others. No need to mention their names, but I knew them--young, vivacious girls I'm talking about now. They're dead too. They went to an early grave too. God knows what I'm telling you is the truth. It's not just something to drum up business. It's something to help you. It's specifically intended to help you think now. Glad to see you there Debbie. I prayed for you coming over this morning. Certain ones I pray for. Usually I think about the two Debbies, Debbie Fish there and Debbie Johnson back there. Easy to pray for them. You think of one Debbie then there's another one. ( laughter ). Lord bless you. I think that's enough for today. But I want to know this. I want the men to come up here. I want us to sing a song. Don't you do it if you don't mean it. I mean don't make a move. I'm giving this invitation to you out there--boys and girls. If you want your life to be well pleasing to Christ in the light of what I have spoken of here this morning--in the light of what God's Spirit has borne witness to. Let's stand. If you want God to have your life, I ask you to get out of you seats and come down here. I want to stand and pray with you. Whoever you are--over there, over here, or over there. I don't think you can mistake what I'm talking about. Don't wait on somebody else. I'm talking to you. ARE YOU TIRED OF CHASING PRETTY RAINBOWS? GIVE THEM ALL, GIVE THEM ALL, GIVE THEM ALL TO JESUS, HE NEVER SAID YOU'D ONLY SEE SUNSHINE, SO, GIVE THEM ALL, GIVE THEM ALL, GIVE THEM ALL TO JESUS, I'm not gonna drag this out now. Gonna let them sing one more verse of that song. I'm not trying to pull you, not trying to make any decisions. I just want to know if you from your heart want God to have your life. In the light of what has been brought forth here this morning, do you want God to have your life? The only one that can cleanse you from all sin is Christ Jesus. That's what He died for, was to cleanse you from all these things that I've elaborated on here this morning. And He can cleanse you--and He only. He's the way, He's the truth, and the life. Jesus says, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him." If God's spirit is drawing you now and you feel that, then you come. Gonna sing one more verse, if nobody comes that's it. COME YE SINNERS LOST AND LONELY. AND I KNOW, YES I KNOW, TO THE FAINT, HE GIVETH POWER. AND I KNOW, YES I KNOW, IN TEMPTATIONS, HE IS NEAR THEE. AND I KNOW, YES I KNOW, OH, THE BLOOD OF JESUS, AND I KNOW, YES I KNOW, ( congregational praise ). Who knows--this may be the day He's telling these little girls come on in to the kingdom children. I want them to know that trusting in Jesus any time, you can't go wrong. And He loves you. If He's calling you, He loves you. If He's calling you, He loves you and He wants you to be His very own. We're the apple of His eye. Gonna sing another verse now. I didn't try to keep this open. One more verse. That's a beautiful song. I felt like God wanted that song. That's good. Jesus blood can make the vilest sinner free. That's right. Wonderful, wonderful--no matter what I talked about here this morning, His blood can make the vilest sinner free. Hallelujah.
