Transcript of message from TV Broadcast 465 -- taken from Closed Captioning Text -- Brother Thomas: Praise the Lord! Brother Jimmy asked me to announce my subject early, so that's what I'm going to do right now. Our subject today...I know I've never preached on this before, never used this subject. The subject is exploitation of sex--exploitation of sex. I don't think you can disagree with me after we get started here. I understand we have visitors. We're glad to have you and I like to always say this, it's not an accident that you are here. You're here by the divine will of God. We might call it permissive will or deliberate will or any other kind of will, but I know He's in control. And He wouldn't have you come here and be in this service if it wasn't His will. And He wouldn't have you come here and be in this service just to sit and listen, but to take to heart some of the things that you hear. And you certainly need to realize that God is exposing you to something you can benefit from. Now, I have here...this is a booklet we wrote a good long while back and it's called "Sex and Marriage"--"Sex and Marriage". Now since this message will be heard by way of radio and on television, I'd like for folks to know that you can write in and get this. -- Brother Jimmy Robbins: Or call the toll-free number. -- Brother Thomas: Toll free number, that's right. Some of the greatest things in the world is free--salvation, because another paid for it--Jesus. So don't forget now, that's a good little booklet there and it's got a lot of material in it, a lot of things that we discuss. Been written I don't know how long ago, but nevertheless it's available if you want it. And of course there will be a video made of this message this morning. Cameras are zooming in on us there now and they may zoom in on you. Just smile because you'll be on candid camera. ( laughter ). We cannot imagine just how sex is exploited. Of course man in his natural state, he does the things willingly and unwillingly. As Satan influences a man he's not even aware of it. The first thing that I am going to mention though is this--the world exploits sex in so many ways. Your fashion designers who design dresses, now I suppose men's clothes also, they are conscious of this one thing when they design them. They design them in such a way that the woman will look sexier and they like that. I'm talking about women of the world. At the present time, you know what I'm talking about. You see it on TV and everywhere. Some people that I more or less respect--characters you know, they're public figures, maybe celebrities among women. Dresses come up between the knee and the hip. That's how short they are. And there's a tremendous pull on young people. And I'll say this, there's a tremendous influence upon you to be like the world. Be like it, look like it, act like it, yeah, and smell like it. But God says, "Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that you might prove what is that good and perfect and acceptable will of God." That's what God said. That's what we ought to be working toward. And what about the movies? Just think about the movies. If you took sex and violence out of the movies they'd close up tomorrow, because that's the one thing that they magnify. That's the power of sex. However, I have a special reason for this message and my reason for this message is how some of our young people are being influenced. Some of them have almost made shipwreck of their lives, because they were in the wrong place and with the wrong people. Your boy or your girl...if you really know the Lord, mothers and fathers, you ought to do everything in your power to get them to associate with other boys and girls that really knows the Lord. I mean really has some convictions. But God knows we need to do what we can. Some of them that I'm talking about now were working in the wrong place around the wrong kind of people. And it's just a matter of time when you're around them people that you'll be doing and acting the way they do. And God's word absolutely teaches separation. The Church is not supposed to be like the world. This is taught in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Let's give a scripture here now, 2nd Corinthians chapter 6. I don't believe that God saves anybody until they come to Him without the camp bearing His reproach. Are you wanting a religion that's respectable and that the world approves of? You don't want my Lord then. You don't want Him. You just want religion. You can get that on every corner. 2nd Corinthians, chapter 6, verse 14 through 18, "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers." That also applies to Christian young men and women who go with the unbelievers and let them fondle them. And let them paw over them. And for God's sake it applies to those who'd have sex with them. If you don't know any better than that, I think you need to be converted. That's another thing I want to mention. We've got young people that's grown up in the church that's never been converted. And you can expect anything. Just because you come to this church does not mean you know God or you have a desire in you to please Him. That's your problem. And these bodies are not to be played with. "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial?" That's the devil. "Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God...." I pause here. What do you think...do you know what it's talking about, the temple of God? Your body. That's your body, that's God's temple. He don't dwell in temples made with hands. He dwells in these temples. "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. "Wherefore..." in view of this is what he's saying, "come out from among them." Instead of going with it, He says come out from among them. He don't say go with them. "Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." I'm giving you facts. I'm giving you truth. All of us are sinners. But we don't start living like we're married or doing the things that only married people do before we get married. God help us. You know I've observed a lot of things in my lifetime and the devil does his best to get young people to leave home. He works overtime. Some of you right here have tried to leave home when the devil had control of you. What do you think he wants to get you out there for? -- Brother Jim Johnson: To destroy you. -- Brother Thomas: That's exactly right. So he can destroy you. Get you out there and then get you in league or an association. You might call it fellowship with somebody that don't know God and don't want to know God. You know what's in that? That's devils. That's devil power. That's devil power when you reach...and that's something that young people go through it seems when they just about reach maturity. You have to make up your mind whether you want God, righteousness, heaven, instead of the devil and the pleasures of sin. You have to make up your mind. You need to be like Moses. He "refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward." You need to take the long look. It's just a matter of time when you go with an unbeliever before you're doing the things they do. Sex outside of marriage is adultery and fornication, or fornication. Hebrews 11 or 13 rather and verse 4...I don't know whether I gave you this or not but it says, "Marriage is honourable in all, but whoremongers..." That's a man. I've seen a many one. I've been around them. I've got cousins, that's all you'd call them--whoremongers. That's usually applied to a man. But it says, "whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." That judgment day is coming. It's ahead of you. So we don't need any sex outside of marriage. 1st Corinthians chapter 6 verse 9 says, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate." Effeminate means homosexual. Of course they say now you're born like that, you'll have to do it. That's a lie from Satan. And no doubt some will hear this and they won't like it. But I'm telling you God can deliver you from that. You talk about being an abomination. That's an abomination to God. I may show you that a little further on. Thank you Jimmy. I don't know what I'd do without Jimmy here. I mean all of you. "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?" 1st Corinthians 6, that's verse 9. "Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." I'm thankful for that, aren't you? God can save people no matter what kind of sinner they are. No matter what kind of a sinner, his blood is efficacious. It can cleanse us from all sins. Coming on down to the 13th verse, last part, of the sixth chapter, "Now the body"---let me get rid of this candy here. "Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. "Know ye not that your bodies..." listen to this, "are the members of Christ? " You mean our bodies are members of Christ? That's exactly what it says. Would you take something that belongs to Christ, that's His, it is Him. Now if He was down here walking around in the flesh of Jesus of Nazareth, would you want Him to go with you to a whorehouse? Would you take Him on a party? That's what you're doing when you take this. This body is members of Christ. "Shall I then take the members of Christ...."
