-- Brother Jimmy Robbins: In Isaiah chapter 6...I might ask us this question this morning, how do we see the Lord? Or do we see the Lord? God help us to see Him, because when you see Him you can't help but praise Him. My God, He's so worthy, worthy, worthy.

"In the year that King Uzziah died I saw also" - that's Isaiah 6:1 - "saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up." That's where he is at this morning. He is "high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings: with twain he covered his face." You know when you are in a presence of a Holy God, you know it pays to reverence Him and honor Him and just love Him with all your heart. "And with twain he covered his feet." We are on holy ground this morning, beloved. "And with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another." That's what we were doing this morning. "And said, holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke." That's the presence of the Lord. I believe this house is filled with smoke right now. I believe it.

"Then said I, woe is me!" This is what we...when in the presence of God, it diminishes us. It diminishes us of who we are and what we are and exalts Him--who He is and what He is. That's our problem--we're looking at self. Beloved, in this flesh "dwelleth no good thing." I don't want to look at Jimmy Robbins and I don't want to look at Dwight. I want to see Christ in my brother. I want to see Christ in my sister because He's the only one that's making a difference to any of us. It's in the Lord Jesus Christ. And when we see Him, beloved, we can't help but praise Him. He's worthy of praise. He's worthy of glory, worthy of honor. Hallelujah!

( congregational praise ).

"Then said I, woe is me!" That is true. Woe is us but until something good happens. "For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the king, the Lord of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: and he laid it upon my mouth, and said, lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged."

If you can believe it, your sin is taken away. Your iniquity is purged. You're white. You're clean. You're holy before Jesus Christ today. We are holy before the Lord because He's touched us. "Also I heard his voice." Have you heard the Lord's voice? I've heard His voice this morning. Through song I heard the voice. Isn't that wonderful? John the Baptist was a voice in the wilderness. God came. The voice of the Lord came in the cool of the garden to talk. The voice is here. God's here.

"And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send?" Oh God, not me. I'm a sorry rascal. Don't send me. That's what we all say. "And who will go for us? Then said I, here am I; send me." Beloved, if you can believe it, every one of you this morning, from the least to the greatest--if there is such a thing, and there really isn't--you are as righteous as Jesus Christ. You have the blood of Christ that's been applied to your life. When God sees you, He doesn't see you as you see yourself. He sees you through the blood of Jesus Christ. We are washed. We are clean today. Let's worship him. Lord, we worship you. We lift you up, Lord. We praise your holy name. Worthy of praise. Worthy of praise.

-- Brother Jim Johnson: I've had a ton of thoughts. How can you keep from having a ton of thoughts? And they're edifying me. I don't know. I doubt seriously that I can accumulate them and get them out to where they'd be a blessing to everybody else that they have been to me. I remember, there's a scripture I think in Psalms that says lift up holy hands and worship the lord. Another one says lift up hands in the midst of the congregation. So there is scriptural basis for lifting up our hands and worshipping the Lord.

The problem is, in our mind-our pea brain-it's kind of hard for us to see our hands as holy. That's what I think the brethren have been talking about here in the last few minutes. We go to looking at self, we don't see much holiness there. I had a scripture come to my mind that we're all very familiar with, but I saw it in a new light, and I'd like to just comment on it. It's in 2nd Corinthians, chapter 10. Praise the Lord. I appreciate this word.

You know, another thought that I had earlier was that there's two things a baby can do-a babe in Christ can do. They can drink milk. As the word comes out they can take it in and drink it. And they can also-a babe can praise God. A baby Christian can praise God. There's a scripture that says, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected"-didn't it say perfected-"praise?" That refers back to an Old Testament scripture that says out of the mouth of babes thou hast perfected strength or brought forth strength.

In praising God, there's a strength that's ministered to you when you lift your hands or heart. I don't care about your hands, hands are synonymous-if you feel free to lift them up, then great, but your hearts what's got to be lifted up in praise. You lift your heart and praise God, there's a powerful strength that comes with that, too. It's a liberating thing.

The scripture that I had in mind is in, like I say, 2nd Corinthians chapter 10 verse 3. "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh." The thing of it is, we're caught up in this flesh over and over and over again. It's just part of our walk. We can't go through a day that we don't get caught up in our flesh. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty"-we do have strong weapons. Praise is one of them. I dare say it's a dynamite weapon. "But mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds."

Now listen to this right here. It says, "Casting down imagination." Now every time I've ever read that and every time I've ever though about that scripture, I've always related that to something-some kind of imagination that we have that would separate us from God-whether it be the love of a Cadillac, or a good looking woman, or a good looking man, you know something to our natural frame. But now I thought about that in a different light this morning. An imagination that would exalt itself against the knowledge of God can be a sin-our own weakness, our own sin. We don't really see that as an imagination, but the truth of the matter is it don't separate us from God-our sins don't. They've been taken care of. There's nothing-no reason whatsoever we can't go before God and lift up our hands and worship Him-none whatsoever, cause that's been taken care of. That can be an imagination that would separate you from God. Just cast it down. Put it down.

I know we need to have a conviction in our heart, and I very strongly believe that one thing that would keep us down is our weaknesses. They will keep us in a low place. As a result, it would behoove us to do as good as we can. But I'm gonna guarantee you this, I don't care how good you do, you're gonna fall short. And the devil will make dog gone sure that you know that you've fallen short, and he's gonna hold it over your head and beat you down with it. In that regard, you can take that thing and cast it down. Say God has taken care of that thing. I don't care what you say, Devil. God has taken care of it. I am free to worship the Lord. Because we are free to worship the Lord.

You know, it's been here recently, you know this and I don't have to remind you of that scripture that Jimmy read about "Beware lest any man spoil you." How many times have we heard that in the last two years? I mean just about every service. You know, I asked the Lord one time. I said, Lord why is it so necessary for us to continue to hear that same truth over and over and over again? Well I believe it's this. I believe that we're living in a late hour. I believe that we're living in the last hour. And I believe that we're living in an hour where sin abounds. And you know what the Word says about that? It says, "But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound." So I don't care how much sin is around, God's greater than sin.

( congregational praise ).

And as a result, we have a liberty to praise Him and to give Him honor and glory.

( congregational praise ).

-- Brother Steve Dinges: It's been a privilege and honor to be here this morning. I just had one thought in something that God brought to my attention a long time ago. I said, well why am I here Lord? I said, why did you create me? Why did you create your people? Over in Isaiah chapter 43 in verse 21 he says, "This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise." To me that answered the question why we were created-to shew forth His praise. That's why we're here.

( congregational praise ).

Forgive my nervousness. Praise the Lord.

--Brother Patrick Joray: I've got a scripture over in Matthew chapter 5. You know, I was thinking as the service was going along this morning that, you know, if we had an altar call and somebody was visiting the church in a small city like Lake City, you know she might have a reputation built up being a prostitute or something like that, and she heard the truth. She heard that Christ died to pay for her sins, and you gave an altar call. And you know as she would start coming forth, if God forbid this ever happened, but if she was coming forth, people would start reminding her of what she was like. But you know what, she'd just be stronger. Before you're born again you find out-you realize what you're made of. You couldn't be stopped.

And yet when you're saved, it's just the opposite. We ought to be walking freer in the grace of God. I was thinking about this scripture-Matthew 5:25. "Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison." You know, we ought to give the devil a big hug every once in a while when he reminds us of all our sins. Thank you devil, it just dawned on me that I'm getting by grace. When he starts condemning us, just like that lady...I'll guarantee the town drunk, you couldn't stop him from coming forward. You could tell him all about his sins. But you know after you're born again, when he reminds us we stop. We're unworthy. Why are we unworthy? We're not unworthy any more. We ought to be thankful.

I mean David-there's a situation over there. A guy named Shimei. He threw stones at this fellow, David, and he cursed him. He was in Saul's family. He had a bitter heart. His whole family had been wiped out. And he cursed David and David's servant was going to take his head off. And he said, you don't understand this thing. He said God bid him to do it.

As a matter of fact turn over there real quick. It's in 2nd Samuel 16. David was a king. He could have wiped this guy out totally. Just pick it up here in the 10th verse of 2nd Samuel 16. "And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so? And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son." He's talking about Absalom. He'd just kicked him out of the kingdom. This was his son he raised. He says, "Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him. It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day."

You now David in that situation, he realized what he was made of. He agreed with his adversary. He said, yeah I am a man-bloody man. But you know what? God promised that he had taken my sin away. He hadn't numbered my iniquity. Let's go on and read this 14th verse. Well I'll go ahead and read 13 and 14. Shouldn't take over another hour. "And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill"-he just kept walking along side of them-"on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust. And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there."

You know, they came down that place weary, but you know I was thinking about walking out refreshed. You know what would happen? He realized that he was a bloody man. He realized that every thing he was accused of, it was true. But you know what? He also understood the grace of God. We're talking about praise. Boy, you can take anything the devil wants to throw at you and just agree with him. Say God thank you. I'm getting it by grace. Praise God!

( congregational praise ).

-- Brother Michael Robbins: I get up here in the fear of the Lord because it is a serious thing to get up here. But I had a scripture that really blessed me and I thank God for this service. It's been so wonderful. But on the way over I was...and actually last Friday evening, Brother Jerry spent the night with me over in Jacksonville. He had to work there. And we were talking about that scripture I had shared with him and it came to me. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith."

But the thought I had this morning, especially what has been brought out about the enemy. He would put barriers in front of you and praising God, because the weakness of your flesh and the things that the enemy uses to hinder you. But we don't have to even give credence or even listen to any of that because the Lord has set us free, like has been brought forth, we're free indeed. And I know in my life the enemy would try to put roadblocks up. It's like, well how can you praise God because of what your flesh is and so forth.

But that scripture just blessed me so much, knowing that "we're encompassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses." We don't have to even give ear at all to any of that. We can just praise God no matter what in the face of any of it. And that just blessed me so much this morning, just to know that the Lord has set us free and we can praise Him. And none of us are any different than any other. We all have flesh and we never come to God on the basis of whether we have measured. We don't ever measure up. We never did, never will measure up.

On the way over I was thinking about that scripture that Paul said, "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified." And I thought about that this morning. That was my prayer. I said, Lord, I pray you'll be lifted above all and that would be that only thing this morning would be Christ and Him crucified.

I've been listening to a CD lately, some of you might have heard it-a lady named Damaris. She sings this song about "He Has Forgiven Me." In fact she's a real blessing to me, but one of the lines there says she tells people how. It's by the blood of the Lamb. That's why we're free. The thing is-my God, it's all in Him. Like Jimmy had said. That's why we always come before Him. It's because of the blood. That's the only reason we can come before our God to praise Him or anything, because of what Christ has done. It's just a great...it's like Jim said, it's liberating to know.

You know, the devil wants to hinder us from praising Him, out in this world even. Jerry pointed out in our conversation that that scripture can also mean that the cloud of witnesses could be the people you're working with or those that you're with on a daily basis. They're gonna see something different-it's Christ in us, the hope of glory, like Jim said. That's what they see that's different, and we can praise God on our job or wherever. They're a cloud of witnesses too. We can live for Christ and He'll come forth. I've been so blessed this morning. I want to thank God for this service. It's been so encouraging. I know the devil has been greatly defeated this morning, and hindered and I just thank God for it. ( congregational praise ). It's a blessing to be here. Praise God!

-- Brother Stan King: Praise God. This is a fearful place to come to right here. This service has been a great blessing because I've recently come through in my spiritual life, and we all go around the mountain. It comes back to are you feeding your flesh or are you feeding the spirit? What Christine said there really blessed me about you were put here just to praise the Lord. I tell you, when you get in that place where you feel like you can't praise the Lord, you ought to put in a tape, listen to Brother Thomas, put in a singing tape. I tell you, that'll get your eyes, it'll get your heart back on the Lord, and then your eye will be single and the devil will be bruised in that.

I had a scripture, and I wanted to read Psalms 100, but I want to back up to Psalm 99 and read verse 9 first. It says, "Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill." This is His holy hill, when we come together, whether it's here, whether it's at Brother Keith's house, or Brother Jim's house, wherever. When we come together in His name, we're at His holy hill, and we can worship Him. "For the LORD our God is holy." It says, "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves." Is that awesome? He's made us. He's called us. We were put here just to praise Him.

"We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." Thank God there's no I trouble in that scripture right there. "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." Flip over to 1st Peter chapter 2, verse 9. "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people." Don't feel funny if the people at work look at you strange. We're a peculiar people. The Lord wants us to be different. "That ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."

-- Brother Jim Petry: Boy I really appreciate this service. I didn't even know for sure what I was gonna say when I get up here. I haven't made up anything. I had a thought. I remember there was a period of time there. You know I used to come in to Brother Thomas' house two or three times a day, and there was a time there when you know you could come in from the outside there and Brother Thomas would be in there. Back then he'd probably be standing up at the kitchen counter looking in his Bible. He'd be in the Word. Maybe when you came in there you might have had a little weight on you or be thinking about things you ought not to have your eyes on sometimes. For some reason or another, Brother Thomas, he'd just all of a sudden he'd go PRAISE GOD! And I mean, it was just like everything left.

( laughter ).

I mean it was wonderful. You talk about being set free, if there was any demons anywhere around, they left. I'm telling you. And you can do that, and it doesn't matter whether on your job or where you are. If you feel the enemy-cause they come sometimes two or three of them can come and whisper one in each ear at the same time, telling you things sometimes. You want to be free of them? Well just praise God. I appreciate the anointing that's been here this morning. I tell you, I also appreciate the love of God that's in the brethren. We need one another, and we love one another. I tell you, with a few praises we're going to the other side. Praise God!

-- Brother Keith Greene: I tell you this has been-if there's something more than wonderful, this has been it this morning. A song came to me earlier-"He Signed the Deed With His Atoning Blood." You know he had a nail in each hand, His legs, thorns on His head. He signed our pardon. He paid for me. He paid for you. The devil can't say anything about it. When you have a deed that's signed, you own somebody. He owns us. He came for us. "He ever lives to make His promise good. When a host of sin comes marching in to make a second claim, they all march out at the mention of His name." Be of good cheer. The Lord's with us. He's met with us today. He's helped me and I know He's helped you too. Praise God.

( congregational singing ).

I LOVE YOU LORD, AND I LIFT MY VOICE,
TO WORSHIP YOU, O MY SOUL REJOICE,
TAKE JOY MY KING, IN WHAT YOU HEAR,
MAY IT BE A SWEET, SWEET SOUND IN YOUR EAR.

( congregational praise ).
