• Chapter 1: The Preaching of the Cross
  If Christ's sacrifice was not sufficient to take care of all our sins, past, present and future, we could never have spiritual rest. Heb. 4:11. If our salvation depended on his death plus or minus anything we would always have room for doubt. Either we are complete in him or we are not. Thank God! The word says, "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." Col. 2:10. (Context)
• Chapter 2: The Person and Work of Christ
  As long as we think we are righteous because of our own human merit or religious good works we will never find rest. Regardless of how zealous and diligent we are, failure on one point opens the door for Satan to accuse and condemn us. (Context)
• Chapter 3: A Foundation Laid in Zion
  God's purpose from before the foundation of the world was to have a people he could share his glory with. It is this people that were redeemed at Calvary. It is this people that are one by one being brought to the knowledge of their salvation. It was for the benefit of this people that ministries of men and angels were given. (Context)
• Chapter 4: Chosen in Him
  Until we see that salvation begins with God and ends with God we will never have rest. This is the sure foundation that he would have us to build our hope on. Anything less is subject to the assault of Satan and unbelief. The so-called gospel that puts more emphasis on what man must do or not do to be saved will never bring us rest. (Context)

This book represents a collection of four articles published in the Midnight Cry Messenger in 1981 and 1982. Since these articles appeared, the pace of startling change in our world has quickened dramatically. As our world careens blindly toward its fiery end, we need, as never before, to be certain we are built upon the Sure Foundation.

This is no time for spiritual complacency. The world and its inhabitants are in the same condition that they were before the flood when the imaginations of men's hearts were only evil continually. Though many were no doubt religious, yet they weren't really concerned about God and His ways or they would have listened to Noah. The condition of their hearts blinded their eyes and deafened their ears to the voice of God.

Today, many of God's little remnant are asleep and need to be awakened and prepared for the soon return of our Lord. Many who count themselves as believers are deceived by religion and need to do as Paul counselled in II Cor. 13:5, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you. except ye be reprobates?"

God is permitting Satan to unleash a flood of spiritual darkness upon our world on a scale never seen before in history. Only those on the Sure Foundation will survive. God is rapidly finishing up His work before judgment falls.
