    Dear Saints,

Greetings to all in the wonderful name of Jesus! We continue to rejoice in the Lord for all He is doing in our lives as well as through the various outreach ministries He has so graciously given us. Spring has settled in here in North Carolina and we are enjoying some warmer weather after a colder-than-usual winter.

Once again we apologize for being slightly behind schedule with this issue. I was hoping to have another part of the series “What Does Deception Look Like?” ready but it will have to wait.

The main article continues the series on “God’s Chosen People.” I continue to be amazed just how much Paul and the other New Testament writers dealt with this subject and just how clear their understanding was. As with the earlier parts I hope you will simply read with an open mind and look to the Lord for His witness concerning what you read.

Awhile back we received a very encouraging letter from a man in prison. Obviously the Lord has worked in his life and he shared a number of quotes from the late Major Ian Thomas that were a great blessing to me. We have included some of his writings in this issue and hope they will bless you as well. Surely we need a greater vision of what God has given us in Christ. Salvation is a lot more than just getting our sins forgiven and going to heaven.

Several of us have just returned from a weekend with the South Carolina church where we enjoyed a Saturday evening Gospel Sing and a “joint” service on Sunday. The Lord’s presence and blessing were very real and the fellowship wonderful. It won’t be long before we will gather there in South Carolina for our June Convention. I hope you will prayerfully consider joining us. The Lord has given them a beautiful facility for having such meetings but more than that is the way the Lord uses such gatherings to strengthen and encourage His people.

I’ll cut this letter a little short so as to give more room for the Ian Thomas quotes. May God’s richest blessings be yours in Christ. Till next time...

    Your brother in Christ,
    Phil Enlow
