Editor's Letter

Beloved in Christ:

Some time ago I attended a family reunion in the little town of Taylor in Baker County, Florida. Taylor was settled by the family of Gordon Stewart and Eliza Lee Taylor from Bacon County Georgia, in 1851. My grandmother, Missouri Taylor Williams, was the daughter of Gordon and Eliza Taylor. Over the past several years I have tried to attend this reunion as often as possible. Slowly but surely through the years, the Taylor clan have moved away from Baker County and into many other parts of the United States. Some have even begun their own family reunions. I have not tried to keep up very much with the Taylor family tree but do try to attend the reunions whenever possible.

Flesh and blood ties, including family trees, won't amount to much on the other side, but it sure is good to know your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. The only family we will have on the other side will be those of kindred spirit who found their way into the family of God as we did, and it won't be long until we begin to meet some of the brethren on the other side. I will be 82 years old next month on April 27. Our only desire is to be found faithful in trying to help God’s people come to a knowledge of the truth. All others things are futile and vain. I appreciate those of you who have helped me in any way through the years. God bless each and every one of you.

Your unworthy friend,
C. Parker Thomas
